BEHIND THE ARTIST | Leslie

Leslie Davis (SN: Muirii) is a Georgia-based illustrator who is passionate about worldbuilding and design. To achieve her professional goals, she seeks to work with an artistic community that shares her interests in creating beautiful worlds that provide viewers with a sense of tranquility and relaxation. Through her art, she strives to offer people an exciting escape from reality. She utilizes software such as Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, and Photoshop in her role as a digital artist. However, she continues to enjoy working with traditional media such as charcoal, acrylic ink, and markers as well. Her work has been featured in a number of gallery shows (two of which were juried), two of her own books have been published, and two artist communities have been founded. Her pieces are inspired by anime, manga, hip hop, and role-playing video games. Her pieces depict unique characters with compelling backstories and the worlds in which they must survive. The vibrant colors of her work are well known for giving viewers a feeling of brightness and joy. She enjoys writing as a hobby, which enhances her ability to gather and articulate her thoughts. In her small hometown of Rockmart, where Leslie was raised, she is surrounded by a loving, supportive family. Apart from studying art, she is also interested in studying Korean, Japanese, and Hip Hop culture. Currently, she is a beginner when it comes to the Korean language. She enjoys upcycling old furniture, as well as playing video games to gather even more inspiration for her works. Her expertise also extends to writing resumes and editing photographs. Upon graduation from Kennesaw State University in 2022, she plans to pursue a career in character design. She has received numerous awards and has published work in Old Red Kimono, the literary magazine of GHC. Her artwork has been featured in two exhibitions: the Spring Art Exhibition in 2015 & Rockmart's Juried Art Competition. Additionally, she was selected to have her work displayed within the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center. Since 2011, her Spirit Pump Design has been displayed at Raceway where every cent is donated to the Booster Club.

Empyrean Aevum Art Group -
Jan 2018 - Oct 2021 ยท 3 yrs 10 mos
- Managed an Art Group with 70+ Artists
Empyrean Aevum was an art-based RP group run by Myself & two moderators. It is hosted on deviantART and currently has 65+ members. While public openings are closed, we encourage the community to check out our art and events!
Members worked together to create characters and some even helped make assets for the group. It was a active, creative and lovely community full of artist who want to grow and build together.Description:
This is a slice of life role play with adventurous elements. While activity is laidback , this will be a group full of fun and events! The basics of this group is as follows; You can create a kemonomimi or a character based on a spirit. The setting is Empyrean Aevum ; a small community that houses these spirits and kemonomimi. Initially, it seems the goal is to move into a new neighborhood and adjust to a new life with other spirits -- however its seems that EA has more to offer than just beautiful scenery. The life of your character is about to change drastically.
We are a dedicated team working hard to bring you the best experience possible. We will try out best to keep this group exciting, engaging and enjoyable"You can find the group here -
